It was a cloudy, breezy day for second day of competition at the D3 Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio. A short day as far as running events go. How did Augustana fair out today?

Shot Put – Men’s

Ethan came back today looking for revenge. He not only qualified for finals, but heaved his way to a 4th place, All-American status of 16.65m (54 feet 7.5 inches). What an awesome performance Ethan and congrats!

VIDEO??? Ethan can be seen sporadically in the second video below between 1:06:00, 1:11:00, 1:24:00, 1:32:00 (you can actually see him throw here).

400M Dash – Men’s

Isaac Smith ran a 48.04 last year in preliminaries, did not qualify for finals, and finished 13th overall. This year, he ran 48.20 for an 8 seed in Saturday’s finals at 1:20pm EST. Way to go Isaac; good luck and get after it!

VIDEO??? See first video around 1:03:23.

100M Dash – Women’s

Hannah Willhite did a fantastic job for her first Outdoor National’s Track appearance! She was in Heat 1 finishing 14th overall (in the country mind you) in a time of 12.333. As a Freshman, only great things can come from you Hannah and we hope to see you next year!
